How's college been so far?  The worst I've done is been forced to watch The Notebook, Bedazzled, and Definately Maybe, amongst other unmentionables.  The best...well, I'll save that for a later blog post (whenever I decide to update this thing again, its been what, a month or seven). 

 

LEGEN-And I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the next word is going to be-DAIRY.

 

One gripe; Starcraft 2 comes out a week before finals.  I know its hard to have to sacrifice things, but I'm afraid my grades are just gonna have to take the hit.

Doing chem group homework together

Question: Which contains more sulfur, 40.8 g of calcium sulfate, CaSO₄, or 35.2 g of sodium sulfite, Na₂SO₃?

Friend: Well, this is pretty easy, we just have to calculate the formula mass and then how many moles of each element, i'll start adding up CaSO4, you do sodium sulfite...

Me: Dude, we get 10 tries with this online system, and there's only two possible answers.

What I bought for college, a comprehensive list

 

24 cans of pop, good enough for the first week

a water bottle, because you can't do a lot of things without a water bottle

some shorts, because not wearing pants can get you arrested (and I hear its very difficult to study in a prison cell)

32 Bic-Matic .7 lead pencils, the best mechanical pencil in the world (or at least the ones I'm used to)

New Balance 504s, colored black, size 11 4E, the exact same shoe that I was wearing, and for the exact same (sale) price from meijers.  Deja vu?

Yeah...remember how I said I didn't have any classes on monday?  Turns out I lied, I actually have more classes on monday than any other day of the week.  Stupid UM starting on a tuesday and therefore leaving the weekly calender with a blank monday slate...

 

But its actually not too bad at all, on Tuesdays and Thursdays all I have is this little lecture class that supposedly has no homework and is only interesting (its ENG 110), in reality its like having serious classes on mon/wed/fri and everything else is pure golden non-classtime.
